CreativityInternational Film Festival of European UniversitiesThe International Festival of Film Schools was established in 1981. It is now one of the most important festivals for young filmmakers in the world. More than 3,200 films have been presented at the festival since its inception. More than 2,000 foreign students and professors have had opportunities to meet, enter into discussions and share their experiences with each other. When surveyed, members of the International Film School Association confirmed that the Munich International Festival of Film Schools enjoys great popularity among its participants.

65 films from 42 film schools in 23 countries will be competing in eight categories at the 26th International Festival of Film Schools for prizes worth a total of € 50,000.

326 films from 76 film schools in 39 countries were submitted. The selection was made by an independent committee. The producer Karlo Funk (Estonia), animation artist Till Novak (Mainz) and film journalist Susanne Herrmanski (Munich) selected 45 theatrical shorts, 14 animated films and 6 documentaries for the competition.
